It begins with a story about a young woman who wishes to bring the images and ideals from inside her head into the big, loud world. To quiet it down and soften its impact, lessen the drive to consume and corrupt and conquer and contain and crusade and instead to correct and create and compose and collect and cooperate.

The story continues with taking some chances and jumping from peaks into shadowy crevices; so far, safe landings and support from the locals. A path cleared before her, and then there were others, but one caught her eyes and her heart and her soul and she couldn't ignore it even though it looked empty and not quite the smoothest or safely inclined.

In two steps and four steps and soon she'd gone miles and looking back now was the last thing she'd do. So the story continues on this path that she's chosen; her path is her destiny, to which she'll be true.

I am a college student in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Western Piedmont Region of North Carolina. I am working for a non-profit, economic development organization. One of our main projects is building up the farm community and creating opportunities for new and established farmers in our area. We place an emphasis on Sustainable Agriculture, and are promoting it in every way we can.
